Celebrations of Mercè 2018 have inaugurated the restoration of the halo of Barcelona, carried out by Iluminación Roura.
The aura is composed of 9 aerofaros located on the roof of the National Museum of Contemporary Art MNAC. Which, after more than six decades, needed a mechanical, optical and electrical restoration. All with a 50% energy saving.
An integral mechanical restoration has been made and consumption has been reduced by 50% thanks to new optics and the incorporation of electronic power supplies replacing conventional rectifiers.
